# Hoofdstuk 2 - Agile in Onderwijs

Agile-methoden ontstonden aanvankelijk in de software-industrie maar vonden al snel hun weg naar verschillende andere sectoren, inclusief het onderwijs. Opvoeders wereldwijd begonnen Agile technieken in het klaslokaal aan te passen en te omarmen.

In het onderwijs zijn er talrijke en gevarieerde benaderingen van Agile, zoals eduScrum (sectie 2.2), Agora-scholen (sectie 2.3) en Agile Learning Centers (sectie 2.4). Het was echter pas in 2016 dat een groep opvoeders die Agile-principes volgden persoonlijk elkaar ontmoette tijdens de Scrum Gathering in Orlando, Florida. Tijdens deze bijeenkomst creëerden ze het "Agile Kompas voor Onderwijs" (sectie 2.1), dat de kernwaarden en -principes voor [Agile in het Onderwijs](https://www.agileineducation.org) vaststelde.
